Mole and cyst removal involves carefully removing benign skin lesions while preserving healthy surrounding tissue and minimizing scarring. The technique used depends on the type of lesion, its size, depth, and location.
Moles are typically removed by excision or shave techniques, while cysts require complete removal of the cyst and its capsule to reduce the chance of recurrence. Both procedures are usually performed in the office using local anesthesia and are well tolerated.

Once a lesion has been evaluated and determined to be benign, removal by a board-certified plastic surgeon may be appropriate – particularly when cosmetic outcome and scar placement are important.

Recovery is usually simple. Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur for a few days.
Stitches, if placed, are typically removed within one to two weeks. Patients are advised to follow scar care
instructions and protect the area from sun exposure during healing.
Most patients return to normal activities immediately.
The cost depends on the size, location, number of lesions, and complexity of removal.
